Replacing an old ceiling fan is typically the easiest and least expensive. If you want to put a ceiling fan in a bedroom that presently has a ceiling light, I can remove the light and install your ceiling fan. The electrical box in the ceiling must be rated for a ceiling fan. If the electrical box in your ceiling is not rated for a ceiling fan, I can replace it. Preparing the bedroom for easy access to the old ceiling fan or old light will save you money. If you don’t have time, I can move the furniture for you when I get there.
CEILING FANS FOR SLOPED CEILINGS IN GREENVILLE SC
The slope or pitch of your ceiling will need to be determined. Depending on the manufacturer, a ceiling fan may be able to be mounted on a steeper slope. You may be able to find that information on the outside of the ceiling fan packaging. If your ceiling is too steep, you will need to purchase an angled ceiling adapter. You may also need to purchase an assortment of extension down rods (e.g. 36”, 48”, 72” …etc.). Or if you are not comfortable purchasing these items, I can pick them up for you. The key is to know that angled ceilings require more forethought to achieve a proper and safe installation.

Many ceiling fans come with built-in lights. Some ceiling fans come with a dimmable light control in the remote. If your ceiling fan does not have dimmable light control, I can install a wall-mounted dimmer switch. If your ceiling fan does not have dimmable light control in a remote, you will also need to have two hot hires in the electrical box in order to have wall wall-mounted dimmer control. The best way to deal with these possible scenarios is to come prepared for each. Switches that are not needed and have not been installed can be returned. Again, if you are not comfortable purchasing these items, I can pick them up for you.
